Grade 8 students participated in some hands on learning activities at Fort Whyte Alive last week that tied in with their science units: Fluids and Water Systems. They had a blast whether it was rain or shine outside. Thank-you to all of the parent volunteers, Fort Whyte Alive volunteers and teachers that were involved with making these field trips a success.
A big congratulations to our recipients of the Lincoln Lazer Wall of Fame. The young Lincoln Scholars exhibited great effort and initiative in the areas of Academics, Arts / Athletics, Citizenship and Special Achievements. To earn Wall of Fame honours, some of these students achieved successes not only in the classroom but also in the community.

Athlete of the Week: McKinley
Ultimate Frisbee & Track
McKinley just started playing ultimate this spring season and is a wonderful addition to the Tazer's team. She readily executes her coaches' suggestions the next time she is on the field. McKinley will come out of nowhere to make a D-block and can be counted on earning a point by cutting to a corner in the end zone. Her ability to catch on quickly and her speed make her a strong force on the field. McKinley is a wonderful addition to the Tazers' team. McKinley also did amazing job in track at the divisional meet last week. She finished in 1st place in the 100m final, 2nd place in the 200m, 1st place in the 400m and 1st in high jump.
Fantastic job, McKinley!

The dance teams were once again invited to perform at Westwood's year end dance show, Dancescapes: Timelines. It was a great chance for our dancers to reconnect with some Lincoln alumni and to be able to perform on a stage one more time. We are so proud of the talent, dedication and commitment that these dancers have put in throughout the year. A special congratulations to our first annual Rising Star award winners, Madeleine and Cassidy! As another year of dance at Lincoln comes to a close, we would like to say thank you to all of our parents for your support throughout the year. Whether it was driving students to early morning rehearsals, helping with hair and make-up, or coming out to watch us dance--it is much appreciated!
